Half an hour past the slot, the apps you chose stop opening. On iPhone that's Apple's own Screen Time shield. On Android, Lockade covers the app the moment it launches. Either way, it stays shut until the dose is logged.

Not surveillance. Your buddy sees slots and streaks. They can’t see your screen, your apps, or what you take.

Let's answer your questions

Only the apps you pick yourself, and you pick them once during setup. Most people choose the scrolling ones and leave phone, messages and maps alone. Lockade never touches an app you didn't select.
Ask your buddy. Lockade writes the request, you send it from your own WhatsApp or iMessage, and they grant the unlock from a web page, with nothing for them to install. If they haven't answered after five minutes you get two fallbacks: scan the medication box, or read a short piece about the dose.
No, and this isn't a setting you have to find. Medication names and barcodes never reach our servers at all. What syncs is your schedule without them, and whether a slot was logged or missed. Your buddy sees slots, streaks and misses. They never see a drug name, a dose or a condition.
No. On Android the accessibility service sees only which app just came to the foreground, decides whether to cover it, and forgets. It doesn't read text, messages, passwords or anything you view, and it keeps no usage history. On iPhone, Apple's Screen Time framework hands us opaque tokens, so Lockade never learns which apps you picked.
Of course you can. Lockade is friction, not a prison. It works because at the moment you'd normally cave, taking the dose is faster than digging through settings. If you'd rather delete the app than take a tablet, no app was going to help.
No. Lockade is a reminder and self-discipline tool. It doesn't give medical advice, recommend doses or replace anything your doctor or pharmacist told you. Don't make it your only safeguard for medication that's critical to your health.
